Family Photography With Skylar At 6 Months

Aug 01, 2021

Family Photography With A 6-Month Old

I love getting family pictures done.  I love coordinating our outfits, coming up with a color scheme and thinking through what will look good together.  And I love planning where we should be.

For these pictures, the lovely Lindsey Goggin with Lindsey Goggin Photography took our photos and we loved how they turned out.  As my sister-in-law so aptly put it, "You look like a frolicking family of wood nymphs!"  That's how we felt, too.

If you're wondering about getting pictures done with your baby, this is your sign to do it!  They will turn out adorable and it's fun to have photos with your baby that will last a lifetime.

The waiting process is where we find our messy middle. We aren't yet there in the promised land, holding the promise in our hands, but we've been changed through the vision God gave us. There's no going back to who we were before He spoke! And the middle between, is often filled with bloody battles, tear-stained mornings and evenings. The waiting between isn't who you used to be, but also not yet who you are becoming on the way to the promised land, and yet the Lord calls it beautiful.

Choose today to rest in Him. Choose today to hide in the shadow of His wings, and then, then, you will see a new day dawn on your life. Your resurrected promise is coming. Your miracle is on its way. Rest in Him while you wait for Him to deliver it to you - the good and perfect gift He has planned for your life.

After surrendering my life to Christ, I spent much time in prayer receiving the Lord's forgiveness for the things I had done wrong. That's the life of a believer. As we become sanctified, as we grow in Christ, we face the sins we have committed and receive forgiveness for them, and then let them go. We recognize the true gift and sacrifice of Jesus on the cross to completely absolve us of our mistakes! The Lord wants us to be set free from every sin and chain that would threaten our present and future. So, if there is a particular instance that is recurring over and over, perhaps this will encourage you to let it go once and for all!
small bathroom makeover, powder room bathroom decor, decorating small spaces

We moved into our new home almost a year ago and I finally got around to re-doing the small powder room on our main level. It took me awhile to get to it, but I'm so pleased with the end result.
