One element that the Lord has given me revelation into is when we're dreaming about certain parts of a house, and how that correlates to our waking life.
Because our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit, often the Lord will show us things about our lives by having us dream about certain rooms in the house. He hides messages for us in symbols, in parable form, to give us instruction about certain parts of our life that He's highlighting for us to work through with Him.
The attic is the top room of your home, and it correlates to the very top room of your spiritual body that houses the Holy Spirit: your mind.
In the very near future we're going to see the Spirt of the Lord poured out like never before- and something that will happen with it is the giving of dreams and visions.
All throughout the Bible, God used visions and/or dreams to speak to His people who were longing to follow His Word, leading and voice. They're available for you today too!
Years ago, I prayed a prayer asking the Lord to give me visions and dreams. A few months later, the Lord answered that prayer and my dream life lit up in a wild way. God took me on an adventure over the course of the next few years as I dove headfirst into studying His Word about dreams.
A few months ago I released a video on TikTok detailing a vision I received from the Lord while at women's Bible study one evening. Our Bible study would begin with a time of worship, moving into a Bible reading of the passage we would be studying, followed by a teaching taken from the text we had just read.
One evening we were reading through Colossians chapter 3, and when we got to verse 10 the Lord sent me into a vision.
There are certainly seasons that He gives us in which we are given peace and rest on all sides- but when do we most often crave that peace that surpasses all understanding? It's during times of evil and intense hardship that we cry out for the Lord to put our hearts at ease! And during these times when we call on Him, He will come forth in the person of Jesus and lead us in His everlasting peace, with grace and mercy. We need His peace most when our circumstances lack the light.

Something we've talked about doing for a few years is visiting the Finger Lakes region in New York. We finally got there this fall! I was hoping for more fall colors in the region (we went the last weekend of September), but it was beautiful weather and some leaves were beginning to change along the lake.
When I was about 6 months old my parents moved from Minnesota to Toronto, Canada. We lived there for several years before coming back to the states. While there, we visited Niagara Falls many times, however I don't remember it at all! And it's been on my list to get back there and see it as an adult.
When we realized our kids had a nice long weekend coming up, we booked our trip and headed to Niagara Falls!
In truth, this is a fun east coast town to visit for a day or two, or just an afternoon! It's fun to see places with rich history that many people before us have frequented. Dip in George Washington's bathtub, and know that he sat there many times! Enjoy a spa treatment or soak in a giant mineral tub as many of our ancestors did before us. Come see why Berkeley Springs brought in presidents who stayed often, and enjoy the natural springs for their healing properties.
Choose today to believe that the promises the Lord spoke to you will come to pass.

Praying scripture is one of the easiest, and most beneficial ways we can pray! For we know that the Word of God is living and breathing and active, but also that His wonderful words put into prayers delight His heart. He loves it when we pray His words back to Him! He loves answering those prayers too.
Do you know how much He loves you? Do you know how complete you are in Him? Keep your mind fixed on His great love for you, and know that He bought and paid the incredible price for your freedom, for your promises, for your life.
You were worth it to Him. And you still are today.

This prayer sits in my Bible and every day I open it up I pray it. It's a prayer the Holy Spirit led to me write for my children. I asked the Lord how I should pray for them to help them stay rooted and grounded in His love, to not be swayed by every feeling, and He led me to Isaiah 11:2 and Ephesians 3:14-19. When our children are rooted and grounded in Him, they won't be tossed by every whim or desire they have!
This year Skylar realized what birthdays mean and how special they can be. She was so excited to turn 5! And her request for her birthday was that she wanted to dress up as Elsa and be with all of her friends. Oh, and to eat lots of cake and to open many presents.

We moved into our new home almost a year ago and I finally got around to re-doing the small powder room on our main level. It took me awhile to get to it, but I'm so pleased with the end result.
I love the way our Chalk Paint Little Kid's Table Makeover turned out, and I love how nice it looks in the playroom. If you're revamping a piece of furniture, give this technique a try!

Years ago I flew into Salt Lake City on my way to Montana for a summer internship, and all I remember from flying in and out was the incredible size of the Great Salt Lake, and all of the salt that surrounded it. In the distance, the snow-capped mountains stood majestic against a blue sky, and the city stood in the midst of a beautiful valley. I remember thinking at the time, "I'll be back." Well, I finally made it back.
